Our regular guests know well that behind the large barn there is a corner of the garden that turns into a forest and a romantic ravine. It is a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of the main garden, yet only a few steps (100 m) from the main farmhouse. It is here that we have set our new story – the Forest Tiny House.
The dream was born at the beginning of last year. But it didn’t go smoothly – our idea was clear, but finding suppliers who could fulfill it turned out to be more difficult than we expected. In the end, my husband – the architect who designed the house – took matters into his own hands, tiling the facade, building the terrace and coordinating the plumbers, carpenters and electricians. Our sons joined in too – painting, screwing, helping where needed. And me? I adjusted the curtains and drapes, set about assembling furniture and arranging whatever else was needed. It was a real family building – the hearts, hands and enthusiasm of everyone together.
And so on August 15th we inaugurated our Forest Tiny House.
It is fully equipped and ready for a year-round stay – with a double bed, kitchenette, seating area, bathroom with toilet and TV. On the terrace you can barbecue, sip wine and watch the treetops. Internet is still missing – but maybe that’s why you can really relax here.
